Why do we report on our impact?

In 2019 we became a Certified B Corporation, which means we commit to doing business for good. Most businesses concentrate on making profits, ensuring shareholders are happy, growing revenue and increasing margins, but unfortunately, this one-dimensional approach doesn’t allow them to do it responsibly. B Corp is all about reaching and positively impacting beyond the bottom line. We added people and planet not only to our mission statement but also into the bylaws of Paradigm Norton, therefore cementing them into the heart of our business.

To become certified, we were required to undergo a thorough assessment by the team at B Lab who determined we were eligible to join the 670 other UK-based B Corporations. You can read more about our journey to certification here.

While we were thrilled to be joining this incredible community of businesses, we knew our journey had just begun and were eager to improve our business with a blueprint to guide us. We began to plan our journey to recertification, which will take place in September 2022, almost immediately after getting our certification.

Each year we are required to report on the progress we have made. It’s a chance for us to look back at how far we have moved the dial in the last 12 months and make some refreshed plans for the following annum. Our 2022 Impact Report is here and we are really proud of the achievements we have made.

We also enjoy reading the impact reports of other B Corp firms, sharing great ideas and positive thinking is one of the things we value most about the community. Pangaia and Abel and Cole have both released their reports showing just how diverse the space is.
