How to make the most of your money – interview with Michelle Cracknell

In this episode I chat to Michelle Cracknell, CBE. After studying Civil Engineering at Imperial College Michelle pursued a career in finance training as an actuary before becoming a Director at a number of financial advice firms, providers and an insurance company. She was CEO of The Pensions Advisory Service from 2013 to 2018 and was awarded a CBE by the Queen in June 2019 for her services to the pensions industry. Michelle now holds several NEDs and is working on a Start Up.

We talk about the good money habits Michelle learned from her father, and the privilege and sense of achievement that comes from building and re-engineering people’s money, career and business lives. We discuss why pensions have a poor reputation and Michelle generously shares the struggles she has faced in her career and the pride and joy of being awarded a CBE.

At the end of our conversation Michelle shares her guilty money secret and her Money Pearl of Wisdom.

Sit back, grab yourself an espresso (or drink of your choice!) and enjoy the conversation.
