Giving back and modelling good money behaviours to children – interview with Sarah Lord

In this episode I chat to Sarah Lord who shares her journey from a Medical Biochemistry degree, to Financial Planner, to President of the Personal Finance Society (PFS) via the Middle East!

Sarah found financial services and financial planning soon after leaving University where she quickly saw the good that money, well managed, can do. Her experience has included working for an insurance company, a small IFA, an Investment Manager, an accountancy practice and latterly a national financial services ‘consolidator’. All of which provided a solid grounding for her current Presidency role.

We discuss Sarah’s passion for Financial Planning and to improve the public’s confidence around money; the lessons she learned from her parents; juggling work, children and family commitments; educating her children around the value of money and the yin and yang of married life.

Finally Sarah shares her best money purchase for around £30 and her Money Pearls of Wisdom.

Sit back, grab yourself an espresso (or drink of your choice!) and enjoy the conversation.
