Lin is Head of Practice Development at Paradigm Norton.
She has worked for many years in the financial planning profession and joined Norton Partners, subsequently Paradigm Norton, as a senior financial planner in 1989.
One area of Lin’s expertise is in the area of retirement planning. She has written a book entitled ‘Talking About Retirement’ (published by Kogan Page, February 2009). The book explores the highs and lows of life in retirement and helps those approaching it plan a fulfilling and financially viable retirement life.

A past Chairman of the Bristol Branch of the Institute of Financial Planning, she is interested in raising the standing of the profession of financial planning amongst other professional bodies and the general public.
She is a respected and regular commentator in the financial press, has been a guest on Money Box and spoken at several national and international conferences on financial planning topics. She recently spoke at the New Zealand financial planning conference on “How to attract women”, a talk aimed at helping financial planners provide a desirable service to women clients.
In 1998 Lin was one of the first financial planners in the UK to achieve Certified Financial Planner status and is one of only 70 Fellows of the Institute of Financial Planning.
