Our integrated approach to planning includes a detailed review of our clients' overall financial position and takes account of personal tax and how this affects for example the overall investment return that may be achieved.

We employ a highly talented and qualified tax and estates team who not only review all our clients’ investment portfolios but also assist in the preparation of our clients' estate plans.

Through careful planning and the use of tax efficient investment vehicles we design financial strategies for our clients, which have the potential to save our clients thousands of pounds.

Steve Griffiths heads up the Tax and Estates department. Steve and his colleagues advise on a wide range of personal tax matters, including income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax planning.

Steve has a particular interest in advising foreign nationals and non-resident individuals on structuring their affairs to shelter income and gains from UK tax. He also has also built up a substantial amount of experience in advising entrepreneurs on minimising capital gains tax.

We believe that it is our integrated approach to financial planning that makes Paradigm Norton unique. All our clients benefit from our three core services of:

  • Comprehensive Financial Planning
  • Personal Tax and Estate planning
  • Investment Portfolio Management

Estate planning:

Our clients will often be faced with crucial decisions on estate distribution. –

  • How much should be passed to the children without destroying their personal self-motivation?
  • How and when do clients tell their children how much they are worth?
  • How can clients efficiently distribute their estates to those specified in their Will whilst still retaining sufficient capital to cope with the unforeseen, such as residential nursing home fees?

Many of these issues are of significant concern to our clients. We arrange frequent client dinners to discuss these types of issues and encourage clients to share their stories and discuss how they have sought to resolve such problems. Our client dinners are always well attended and stimulate lively debate.

How much does our tax and estates service cost?

Unless otherwise agreed, our professional fees for our tax and estates service will be based on the time we spend working on client's behalf, and the expertise and experience of the tax team involved.

Our minimum fee for our tax planning service is £3,000. Once agreed, fees will be confirmed in writing and invoiced directly to our clients. Please note that we do not offer a routine tax return or tax compliance service.
