The Bristol-based company announced today (17 September) that it has acquired David Jones Financial Planning Limited, leading financial planners, of Torquay. It has also taken a stake in Hooper and Wollen Financial Planning in the same area.

The expansion means that Paradigm Norton - founded in 2001 - now employs a team of 32, and Chief Executive Barry Horner says more acquisitions are planned.

“We are thrilled to be acquiring these businesses as both share our commitment to delivering excellence in client care,” he said.

“We expect further acquisitions to follow in the coming months and years when the opportunities arise to purchase similar, high quality fee-based financial planning businesses.”

David Jones, Managing Director of David Jones Financial Planning, commented: “I am delighted that we have joined forces with Paradigm Norton, a firm that we have admired for some while.”

“We believe that this merger is great news for our clients as they now have access to the range of additional resources and expertise provided by a larger team which has an excellent track record in delivering technically accurate and innovative financial planning solutions.”

Chris Hart, Managing Partner of Hooper & Wollen Solicitors, commented “The Hooper & Wollen partners are delighted with their new association with Paradigm Norton and the additional areas of financial planning expertise that can now be offered to Hooper & Wollen clients.”

Paradigm Norton has already won two major awards this year. In January, the firm was named by Citywire as the 2010 top financial planning firm in the South West, an accolade it also won in three previous years. And in March, it scooped the title of Retirement Planner of the Year, given by Money Marketing.
