‘Best in South West’ for New Firm

A Bristol firm of financial planners has won a top business award. Paradigm Norton was created in 2005 by the merger of the former Paradigm with Norton Partners. Paradigm was formed by Barry Horner and William Pratt in 2001.

It has clinched the New Model Adviser of the Year 2006 regional award for the South West, which recognises excellence and first-class service in financial advice and is run by Citywire, the pan-European financial information group. Over 6,000 entrants took part nationally.

Barry Horner, managing director of Paradigm Norton, received the award at a prestigious ceremony in London from event host, comedian Tony Hawks, and Trevor Matthews, chief executive, life and pensions, Standard Life, one of the sponsors.

Based in Bristol city centre and Tickenham, Paradigm Norton specialises in wealth management as well as developing philanthropic giving strategies for clients. The firm also provides bespoke financial planning services for high net worth individuals.

The firm has 350 clients and advises clients with assets to invest of in excess of £1m.

Clients are typically partners in the major Bristol and London Law practices, management consultants, business owners planning exit strategies and the CEO’s of large quoted companies.

“This is a terrific accolade for our new firm, and we are delighted to have been chosen as best in the South West,” said Barry Horner. “Our success is a tribute to everyone who works for Paradigm Norton.”
