Norton launches Institutional Investment Management Wrap service
for clients
Paradigm Norton has built up a formidable reputation as
a fee based planning firm which provides highly effective long term
financial planning for its clients. To further enhance this service,
it is now launching an investment management Wrap Account facility.
This Wrap Account will provide investing clients with access to
leading international institutional fund and money managers who
would otherwise not be accessible for private clients, all for just
a single fee related to the value of the portfolio.
After a lengthy period of in depth research Paradigm selected Seven
as their partner because it was clear that the two organisations
had many shared values. These include a desire to ensure clients
gain the highest quality service without financial penalty, whilst
enjoying actively managed market exposure which is not purely formula
driven
This facility will be provided under the name of the “Paradigm
Active Portfolio Account”. Paradigm have formed a partnership
with Seven Investment Management who introduced the first multi
currency Wrap Account in the UK. Seven provide Paradigm with the
tactical asset allocation within the active Portfolio Account.
Barry Horner, Managing Director of Paradigm, said “We see
this as a very significant development in investment management
services for our clients. By introducing the discipline of institutional
managers and removing the unnecessary traditional costs and charges
such as commissions, investors can receive a far better value of
investment management. This, blended with the ongoing discipline
and management of client focused Asset Allocation, means that longer
term investment needs can far better reflect the requirements of
clients and especially reflect their own risk profile”.
Tom Sheridan (CEO of 7IM) said “The Wrap Account structure
has been shown to provide both tangible benefits and value to investing
clients. We are delighted to link our services to Paradigm as we
believe that the combination of the Wrap Accounts service with a
highly professional and experienced financial planner is a truly
powerful combination – a combination that provides far superior
calibre of investment management blended with professional planning”.
The Paradigm Active Portfolio Account will offer clients a blend
of both discretionary and advisory services. This will give them
both the flexibility not to be locked into any service or investment
and the transparency to see the detail and value of their investments
at any time.
Barry Horner went on to say “Effective investing is not an
end in itself; rather, it is a vital part of the total financial
planning process. It is a tool that enables our clients to plan
for the future achievement of their broader goals and objectives.
We believe that the new portfolio account and our partnership with
Seven is a timely addition to what is available in the UK investment
market and we are already receiving significant interest from our
clients.”
7IM offers value to investors by providing ongoing and active asset
allocation, manager selection and a single Wrap Account fee that
covers all charges, other than taxes. It is unique and based on
the very successful ($750 billion) investment style created in the
US.
7IM also operates institutional portfolios of individual shares
and bonds with JPMorgan Fleming Asset Management Fixed Interest
Portfolio and Global Equity Portfolio, ABN AMRO Asset Management
UK Growth Portfolio, Framlington UK Equity Income Portfolio, and
an institutional cash fund with Barclays Global Investors. Additionally,
7IM utilises the services of Investment Manager Selection Ltd. (IMS),
which screens 4000 pooled investment funds and 700 management groups,
and selects funds for 7IM’s managed portfolios of unit trusts
and funds.
7IM is also responsible for the asset allocation for the Zurich
Multi Manager Personal Investment Bond (PIB), which was launched
on 16 September, 2002 and the International Wealth Account, launched
in September 2003.
7IM also has strategic technological partnerships with Pershing,
Advent and 1st Software.
